Careers Education and Guidance Programme

Careers Education and Guidance is in accordance with the Queen Elizabeth's Equal Opportunities Policy.

The programme is initiated in Year 7 and follows a strategic path of development through to the Sixth Form.

Students at Queen Elizabeth's are offered a number of strategies to engage their interest in Careers Education and Guidance. This range of opportunities contributes significantly to the decisions which students take about their future careers.

There is also an emphasis on the development of the skills which will enable pupils to approach key transitional stages in their careers with confidence and security.

All students of the School have access to the Careers Library which is located within the School's main library and is open every day. Resources include books, periodicals, prospectuses, videos and CD ROMs.

Computers in the main library and the School Electronic Reference Library also provide access to careers related software packages such as Fast Tomato and UCAS.com.

All pupils will follow a tutorial pattern for these.
