Music & Music Technology
Music is a very important part of both the curriculum and extra-curricular provision at QE. Our facilities include a recording studio and a Music Technology suite - recently upgraded with equipment worth nearly £10,000 - enabling pupils to compose, record audio and midi, and to edit digitally. The Shearly Hall is the largest performance venue in the area. There are ensembles for boys of all ages, such as our Symphony Orchestra, Saxophone Quartet, main School Choir and the Chamber Choir. The School offers boys regular opportunities to perform in public. In 2004, QE was the first School in London to gain Specialist Music College status.
