Winter Sport at Queen Elizabeth's
Rugby is the main winter sport at QE. We field four competitive rugby XVs, with inter-school fixtures taking place mid-week and on Saturdays in the Autumn and Spring terms. There are annual upper and middle school tours and a Year 7 trip to Twickenham for the Varsity Match. The season culminates in the celebrated QE Sevens tournament for U16s and U14s, which attracts teams from as far as Lancashire and Gloucestershire. Our other winter sports are cross-country, swimming, water polo, basketball and Eton Fives. We have popular fencing and karate clubs, as well as a ski trip each February half-term.
