Giving to QE

Queen Elizabeth’s is rich in tradition and has a long history stretching back over centuries of which we are very proud; we are also a forward looking organisation keen to develop and innovate where we feel it will benefit our boys. We see our alumni as having an important role to play in linking past and future. Generations of alumni have been instrumental in helping the school to maintain and improve our facilities and therefore benefit school life.

In recent years, great progress has been made with the Governors’ Estates Strategy, thanks to the generosity of many Old Elizabethans, current parents and the Friends of Queen Elizabeth’s. The School has benefited from the opening of the Martin Swimming Pool, the Shearly Hall, the new Dining Hall, Café 1573, the Queen’s Library and a replacement roof for the large Fern Building.

These developments have undoubtedly made a huge improvement to the learning environment and to the school life in the fullest sense of the boys here. We have plans to embark on exciting further developments, but of course these, and simply maintaining the fabric of the building and grounds, are a costly undertaking. We would like to be able to invest in Queen Elizabeth’s so that its reputation as a school that sits among the very best can be maintained for generations to come.
