Music Graduate Assistant required as soon as possible and no later than September 2019
Posted: 11th March 2019 • Closing Date: 5th April 2019
We are seeking an outstanding Assistant to join a busy and thriving Music Department in one of the country’s leading academic schools which provides a breadth of extra-curricular music opportunities, including 19 regularly rehearsing ensembles. The ideal candidate will be well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly committed, with some experience of rehearsing choral and/or instrumental ensembles. Excellent keyboard skills with experience as an accompanist and/or the ability to also play an orchestral instrument to a high standard would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the work of the Music Department by assisting with administration, working with pupils in lessons and in clinics and through leadership of some areas of the extra-curricular programme.
This post might be an excellent opportunity for a candidate interested in gaining some school experience before qualifying as a teacher. The contract of employment will run to 31 August 2020 in the first instance.
Salary: £16-£17K per annum.
