Fr Chris Ferris: Biography

Foundation Governor Fr Chris Ferris, BA has been Rector of Chipping Barnet since September 2014 and became a Governor in that year. He is also Team Rector of Chipping Barnet Team Ministry.

Born in Northern Ireland in 1977, he lived in the Isle of Man and attended King William’s College, an independent school in the island’s Castletown. He holds a degree in Theology from St David’s University College, Lampeter.

Previously, Fr Chris worked for L’Arche Liverpool – L’Arche communities provide support with and for people with learning disabilities – and for Marks and Spencer.

Having trained for ordination in the Church of England at Trinity College, Bristol, he was duly ordained in 2004 and has since served in the dioceses of Rochester, London and St Albans.
