I am pleased that you have now received our ‘Into the Sixth Form’ invitation email, which provides an introduction to the opportunities that the School offers to its students in Years 12 and 13.

We look forward to welcoming you to the School on Thursday 17th October for our Sixth Form Transition Evening.

For those with sons in BHL, the event begins at 5.30pm in the Main School Hall.

For those with sons in PSU, the event begins instead at 6.30pm in the Main School Hall.

Both prior to and subsequent to the evening, you will find it helpful to consider the information available to you on eQE, the secure portal for parents accessible from the School’s website. This will give you detailed information on A-level courses, the ethos of the Sixth Form and the transition arrangements that we will follow in the months to come. If you have an enquiry please direct it to the relevant Subject Head if it is department specific, or to myself if it is a more general issue. Links to eQE subject pages are embedded in your email invitation.

On the evening itself you will have the opportunity to hear an address from the Headmaster, myself and two senior students regarding life in the Sixth Form. We ask that you then take the opportunity to view the Queen’s Library, the designated space for students in Years 12 and 13 at the present time, and to meet academic departments in the Shearly Hall for guidance on what A-level courses entail.

The School’s Sai School Appeal team will also provide light refreshments for you in the Dining Hall.

I look forward to meeting you on Thursday 17th October.

Yours sincerely

D. J. Ryan
Deputy Head
