We wish to appoint an exceptional teacher of Technology to lead a department that already has an outstanding reputation for pupil achievement, but also has the capacity for further improvement. The KS3 curriculum is STEM-based and Product Design is offered at GCSE and A-level.

This post would be ideally suited to someone who is ambitious, looking to develop his or her career and is ultimately aspiring to senior leadership. In making this appointment, therefore, the Headmaster will have regard to the potential exhibited by candidates, as well as to their experience. A comprehensive programme of support and training will be made available to the successful applicant.

Further information about this opportunity is available to download here. Applications should be made using the School's own application form which should be accompanied by a covering letter and a current CV. All documents should be submitted electronically using this form.

We are inviting applications for salaried and unsalaried places on the School Direct Teacher Training Programme to start in September 2017. Well-qualified and enthusiastic graduates from all disciplines are welcome to apply although we are particularly keen to hear from those looking to train in the following subjects: English, Geography, History, Languages (any combination of French, German and Latin), Mathematics, Science and PE (these are the high priority and other priority recruitment subjects).

To be eligible to apply, candidates should have a relevant degree which has been awarded at 2:1 or above. To apply for the salaried programme, they should also have at least three years' professional (work) experience.

We are working as a consortium with several other local schools and the University of Hertfordshire to offer this training. Watford Girls' Grammar School is the named school on the Teaching Agency's website. As well as applying to Queen Elizabeth's using the application form below, applicants should also register their interest with the Department for Education.
