Teaching Staff Vacancies

We are inviting applications for salaried and unsalaried places on the School Direct Teacher Training Programme to start in September 2018. Well-qualified and enthusiastic graduates from all disciplines are welcome to apply although we are particularly keen to hear from those looking to train in the following subjects: Economics, English, Geography, History, Languages (any combination of French, German and Latin), Mathematics, Science and PE (many of these are the high priority and other priority recruitment subjects).

To be eligible to apply, candidates should have a relevant degree which has been awarded at 2:1 or above. To apply for the salaried programme, they should also have at least three years' professional (work) experience.

We are working as a consortium with several other local schools and the University of Hertfordshire to offer this training. As well as applying to Queen Elizabeth's using the application form below, applicants should also register their interest with the Department for Education.

Support Staff Vacancies

Queen Elizabeth’s School is seeking to add to its existing public examination invigilation team.  The essential qualities of an invigilator are punctuality, reliability, initiative and a 100% commitment to the responsibilities and duties required to enable the School to comply with awarding bodies’ protocols and regulations. Full training will be given. Most of our examinations take place in May and June.  Hours will vary and can be worked to suit but we are looking for good availability. If you think that you would make a good examination invigilator, and you would relish the real demands and rewards of helping us to ensure that our candidates are enabled to perform at their best during public examinations, then please either post or email your application form to us, together with a supporting statement of why you think you would make a good invigilator.  Application forms should be returned to the Examinations Officer at the School or emailed by 29th September 2017.
