TEACHER OF ECONOMICS required for September 2017
Applications will be considered as they are received.
The Economics department achieves exceptional outcomes in public examinations at GCSE and A-level and a large number of boys move on from the School to read Economics and Economics-related courses at leading universities. The successful applicant will have a strong academic background and will demonstrate that he or she has an understanding of how to inspire very able boys within and beyond the classroom.
Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers. The ability to offer a second subject would be welcome but is not essential.
Further details about the post are available to download here. Applications, including a completed application form, an up-to-date CV and a covering letter, should be submitted using the online form.
TRAINEE TEACHERS FOR THE SCHOOL DIRECT (SALARIED & UNSALARIED) PROGRAMMES
We are inviting applications for salaried and unsalaried places on the School Direct Teacher Training Programme to start in September 2017. Well-qualified and enthusiastic graduates from all disciplines are welcome to apply although we are particularly keen to hear from those looking to train in the following subjects: English, Geography, History, Languages (any combination of French, German and Latin), Mathematics, Science and PE (these are the high priority and other priority recruitment subjects).
To be eligible to apply, candidates should have a relevant degree which has been awarded at 2:1 or above. To apply for the salaried programme, they should also have at least three years' professional (work) experience.
We are working as a consortium with several other local schools and the University of Hertfordshire to offer this training. As well as applying to Queen Elizabeth's using the application form below, applicants should also register their interest with the Department for Education.
