TEACHER OF PHYSICS: Part-time (0.4 to 0.6FTE)

We wish to appoint a dynamic, highly motivated and inspirational graduate to teach Physics throughout the School.
The Physics department enjoys a national reputation for excellence and achieves exceptional outcomes in public examinations. Large numbers of the School’s students progress from A-level to Physics and related courses, such as Engineering, at leading universities. The successful applicant will have a strong academic background and will demonstrate that he or she has an understanding of how to inspire very able boys within and beyond the classroom.
Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers who wish to work part-time. It is anticipated that the contract will be between 0.4 and 0.6FTE but we are happy to agree the precise arrangements on appointment.

TRAINEE TEACHERS FOR THE SCHOOL DIRECT (SALARIED & UNSALARIED) PROGRAMMES
We are inviting applications for salaried and unsalaried places on the School Direct Teacher Training Programme to start in September 2017. Well-qualified and enthusiastic graduates from all disciplines are welcome to apply although we are particularly keen to hear from those looking to train in the following subjects: English, Geography, History, Languages (any combination of French, German and Latin), Mathematics, Science and PE (these are the high priority and other priority recruitment subjects).
To be eligible to apply, candidates should have a relevant degree which has been awarded at 2:1 or above. To apply for the salaried programme, they should also have at least three years' professional (work) experience.
We are working as a consortium with several other local schools and the University of Hertfordshire to offer this training. TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT required for September 2017

An outstanding designer, maker and technician is required to support our Technology curriculum which comprises a STEM-based foundation course for boys in their first three years at the School, GCSE and A-level Product Design. The successful applicant will work with our academic and talented students and the teaching team.

This post would be ideally suited to someone looking for a sandwich placement or a recent graduate from a Product Design degree or similar. It would provide excellent experience for someone who might be considering a career in teaching at some point in the future. The contract will be initially for the 2017-18 academic year.
