Our admissions process

On this page you will find the information you need to make an application to the School. There are two tabs, depending on which year your son would be entering into Year 7. Please ensure that you select the appropriate tab, or you will be unable to progress an application successfully.

The waiting list for entry into the School in September 2024 has reached position 21.

Entrance Test request form available

We invite you to complete an entrance test request form and return this to the School to register your son to sit our September entrance exam. If you encounter difficulty in accessing the form please contact the admissions office via admissions@qebarnet.co.uk

4th July 2024

School Open Day

Visit the School to hear from the Headmaster and take a guided tour of our campus. Sessions will run throughout the day. Booking will be open to all, following initial priority for those who have registered to sit the entrance test in September.

12th July 2024 (noon)

Deadline for test requests

Please ensure that we have received your completed entrance test request form by noon. We will be unable to invite your son to take the test in September if we have not received your entrance test request form by this deadline.

18th & 19th September 2024

Entrance Test

Boys come to the School on one of these days to sit multiple-choice tests in Maths and English. Details of precise arrangements will be sent by email to those who have registered.

1st October 2024

Book a tour

This is the provisional date for notifying parents of the results of the entrance examination. Those who have scored sufficiently highly will then be invited to book a further tour to see the School during working hours. Booking details will be sent to those candidates.

Application Deadline

Applications are made using the Common Application Form, submitted to your home local authority by their published deadline.

3rd March 2025

National Offer Day

Your home local authority will confirm whether you have been offered a place. If you have not, we will advise those who are eligible of their position on the waiting list.
